The rasas constitute the palette of “tastes or feeling tones” that combine to create the experience of being human. Some are desired, like peace or love; others not so, as rage, fear or disgust.
The Supreme experiencing Itself in infinite forms. You and I, and our experiences.
Through yoga, each emotion, each experience can transform, not only in an opportunity for growth but in a portal towards the full experience of the Self. This intimate experience of Consciousness, bliss and infinite love also receives the name of rasa: “the delightful taste of your Self”
It is the great rasa. The Maha Rasa.
Rasa Lila also means “sweet passtime”.
In Hindu Mythology , it is the name of Krihna´s dance with the gopis bewitched by the sound of his flute.
